Hands gathered around a heart representing VCCP’s 10/10 Charity Program

10/10 Charity Program

Processing Payments. Supporting Communities.

When participating businesses grow with VCCP.biz, meaningful causes share in that success.

VCCP.biz believes merchant services can do more than help businesses accept payments. They can also create an ongoing source of support for organizations making a difference.

Through the 10/10 Charity Program, VCCP allocates:

  • 10% of VCCP’s net residual revenue from a participating merchant account to an eligible charity selected by that merchant
  • An additional 10% of VCCP’s net residual revenue from that account to the Burrito Project, VCCP’s current featured charity partner

That means a total allocation equal to 20% of VCCP’s net residual revenue from each participating account supports charitable causes.

The contribution comes from VCCP, not from the merchant’s sales, employees, tips, or charitable budget.

How the 10/10 Program Works

1. Become a Participating VCCP Merchant

A business begins using an eligible payment-processing or point-of-sale solution through VCCP.biz.

We help the business evaluate its needs, compare available solutions, and select technology suited to the way it operates.

2. Select a Charity

The participating merchant identifies an eligible charitable organization it would like its side of the program to support.

This gives each business an opportunity to connect its payment-processing relationship with a cause meaningful to its owners, employees, customers, or community.

3. VCCP Allocates the First 10%

VCCP allocates an amount equal to 10% of the net residual revenue VCCP receives from that participating merchant account to the merchant’s selected charity.

4. VCCP Allocates Another 10%

VCCP allocates an additional amount equal to 10% of its net residual revenue from the same account to the Burrito Project, our current featured charity partner.

Together, these allocations create the 10/10 model:

10% for a cause selected by the merchant + 10% for VCCP’s featured charity partner

What “Net Residual Revenue” Means

The 10/10 calculation is based on VCCP’s net residual revenue attributable to the participating merchant account, the residual compensation VCCP actually receives from its processing partner for servicing that account, after any account-level corrections, reversals, or adjustments reflected by the processing partner.

It is not calculated from:

  • The merchant’s gross sales
  • The merchant’s total processing volume
  • Customer purchases
  • Employee wages or tips
  • The merchant’s own profits
  • An added charitable fee charged to customers

For example, if VCCP receives $100 in net residual revenue attributable to a participating merchant account, the 10/10 allocation would be:

  • $10 for the merchant’s selected eligible charity
  • $10 for the Burrito Project
  • $20 total allocated to charitable causes

The exact amount naturally varies because residual revenue can change with processing activity, pricing, adjustments, and other account factors.

Why the Merchant Chooses a Cause

Every business has a different story.

One merchant may care deeply about hunger relief. Another may want to support animals, veterans, healthcare, education, the environment, the arts, or a neighborhood organization.

Allowing participating merchants to select a cause makes the program personal. It gives each business a way to support an organization that reflects its values while VCCP handles the charitable allocation from its own revenue.

The selected organization must satisfy the program’s eligibility requirements. VCCP will confirm eligibility before adding it to the program.

Our Featured Partner: The Burrito Project

The Burrito Project brings volunteers together to prepare and distribute burritos, water, and other necessities to people experiencing hunger and homelessness.

Its work is direct, practical, and rooted in community participation, values that closely reflect the kind of impact VCCP wants the 10/10 Charity Program to create.

The Burrito Project is VCCP’s featured charity partner for the current program. If the featured partner changes in the future, participating merchants will be informed and this page will be updated.

Giving Without Adding Another Burden

Participation in the 10/10 Charity Program is intended to create community impact without taking money from the merchant’s charitable budget.

The charitable allocations come from VCCP’s net residual revenue. They are not added to the merchant’s processing rate as a separate charitable surcharge, and customers are not asked to pay an additional donation at checkout.

A merchant may, of course, support its selected charity independently as well. Any independent contribution would be separate from VCCP’s 10/10 allocation.

Transparency and Accountability

We want the 10/10 Charity Program to remain meaningful, sustainable, and understandable.

VCCP will maintain records of program allocations and charitable distributions. Participating merchants may request information about the allocations attributable to their accounts.

Program participation, charity eligibility, distribution timing, minimum payment thresholds, and other administrative details are governed by the current 10/10 Charity Program terms provided by VCCP.

Because the contribution is made by VCCP, participating merchants should not represent VCCP’s allocation as their own tax-deductible donation. Merchants should consult their own tax professionals regarding any independent charitable contributions they make.

Merchant Services with Aloha Soul

To us, the Aloha spirit means treating people with warmth, generosity, respect, and a genuine concern for their well-being.

That promise influences how we serve merchants, and how we think business success should flow back into the community.

The 10/10 Charity Program is one way VCCP.biz puts Merchant Services with Aloha Soul into action.

Put Your Payments to Work for Something More

If you are opening a business, comparing merchant processing options, replacing outdated equipment, or exploring a new point-of-sale system, we would be honored to learn about your needs and the cause that matters to you.

Your business accepts the payments. VCCP shares part of what it earns.
